Co-ordinated Incident Management System (CIMS 2)
This practical one day course is for those people who wish gain an understanding of the New Zealand Co-ordinated Incident Management System structure (CIMS).
Co-ordinated Incident Management System (CIMS 4)
This practical two day course is for those people who wish to advance their understanding of the New Zealand Co-ordinated Incident Management System (CIMS) in a multi agency environment.
Fire Extinguisher Training
This training package provides theoretical and practical training enabling course participants to take immediate and effective action against fire prior to the arrival of the Fire Service.  A practical component off site enables participants to use extinguishers on live fires.
Training includes the use of extinguishers to ensure that staff have sufficient knowledge to meet their obligations under the legislative requirements of the Health & Safety in Employment Act 1992
Floor Warden Training
This training course ensures that floor wardens and building wardens have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and actions expected of them in the event of an emergency which affects their building and its occupants. Content includes material on Fire Evacuation, Bomb Threats, Earthquakes and Incident Management.
Prior to this course, participants will be given pre-work to do looking at the systems currently used on their premises.
We recommend that participants of the Floor Warden Training also look at doing the Fire Extinguisher Training where you will learn and have the chance to extinguish a real fire.
Movement Control
This training course is intended for response personnel involved with the management of people and vehicular movement at a emergency event or incident. Also a course for those who may act in an operational support role at incidents.
Operations Manager Courses
This workshop is for those people who are likely to carry out the role of Operations Manager or work in the Operations team of an Incident Management Team. We look in depth at this role and how to set up and carry out the functions required. For those already experienced in CIMS, we allow an opportunity to work in a multi-agency environment and develop a more in-depth understanding of this important role.Planning Intelligence Managers Course
This workshop is for those people who are likely to carry out the role of Planning Intelligence Managers or work in the Planning Intelligence team of an Incident Management Team. We look in depth at this role and how to set up and carry out the functions required. For those already experienced in CIMS, we allow an opportunity to work in a multi-agency environment and develop a more in-depth understanding of this important role.
Response Co-ordinator Training
This workshop is for those people who are required to carry out the role of Response Coordinators. The Response Coordinators primary responsibilities are to provide strategic direction, support and coordination to Incident Management Teams (IMT's)Senior managers from Governnment Agencies, Lifeline Utilities and Councils are often required to coordinate across multiple sites or incidents. This training supports those who have responsibilities at the highest levels.
