Movement Control

accidentThis training course is intended for response personnel involved with the management of people and vehicular movement at a emergency event or incident. Also a course for those who may act in an operational support role at incidents.

Course Includes:

  • the principals of cordoning
  • cordon design & management plans
  • legal authority for establishing a cordon
  • establishing cordons, roadblocks and checkpoints
  • directing and monitoring the movement of people and vehicles through a checkpoint
  • safety issues
  • applying CIMS when cordoning
  • evacuating people from within a cordon
  • traffic flow
  • removing cordons to allow the resumption of normal traffic / public access
  • practical scenarios
