Movement Control
This training course is intended for response personnel involved with the management of people and vehicular movement at a emergency event or incident. Also a course for those who may act in an operational support role at incidents.
Course Includes:
- the principals of cordoning
- cordon design & management plans
- legal authority for establishing a cordon
- establishing cordons, roadblocks and checkpoints
- directing and monitoring the movement of people and vehicles through a checkpoint
- safety issues
- applying CIMS when cordoning
- evacuating people from within a cordon
- traffic flow
- removing cordons to allow the resumption of normal traffic / public access
- practical scenarios
