This Fire Extinguisher training package provides theoretical and practical training enabling course participants to take immediate and effective action against fire prior to the arrival of Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ). In-house fire extinguisher training is the ideal location and a practical component off-site enables participants to use fire extinguishers on live fires.
Training includes the use of fire extinguishers to ensure that staff have sufficient knowledge to meet their obligations under the legislative requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Section 36 (3) f of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 states that the PCBU must ensure the provision of any information, training, instruction, or supervision that this necessary to protect all persons from risks to their health and safety arising from work carried out as part of the conduct of the business or undertaking.
Duration: 4 hours (usually run in afternoons and booked separately)
